Today a lovely man named Cliff wants my Coffee and Colouring in for Grown Ups at his coffee shop….just like that. So in two Wednesdays time we start. And I get to show my work on his wall! Happy Day. Cliff is a man with a glowing smile and has chatted with me about my drawings for more than a year now. it began with driving lessons for my son on weekend mornings and now I get to do my new thing there too. I am already hosting a group at my local coffee shop and another is welcoming me to begin a group for mums after the school drop off after the holidays. All because I drink coffee in shops with kind and generous people! Drinking coffee might just be good for my health I think 😉

Sharing ART….I know lots of people want it to be fine and grand….and my work is. I respect everything about the process and product of creating and revealing what I didn’t even know I was putting there sometimes. It has been a wonderful experience to sit on the verandah of a friends shop for the past year and draw, paint, weave, chat and drink coffee….to allow people to tell me their story and what they see in my art….sharing ART! I have learnt my work is beautiful….creative….out of the box and sometimes just simply nice…I have learnt to accept a compliment and trust what I know deep within about how to create.

So now in this place today….I am grateful. I am pleased and a little excited.

Maybe the world finds piece one coloured pencil at a time as I get to share the experience of still, quiet that happens in being with art and engaging in it…..and drink coffee! Good coffee! happy day….work is in progress so a picture later I think 🙂
